Well, if you would take your Bible turn back to Hebrews chapter 10 now in our past two Messages in our series that we've been in I have read our verses before we've gotten started But I'm going to read these verses a little later So if you would just have your Bible turn to Hebrews 10 We'll start in verse 1 we'll read all the way down to verse 18 quite a few verses I know but we'll get to those verses here in just a few minutes Now I think most every one of you here know that we have been in our Christmas series for two weeks now We have been examining what I have called Jesus the incarnation of God I think I said this during the first message you really can't say the incarnation of God without saying Jesus You just can't do that and that's what we have been studying the incarnation Christmas.

That's what Christmas is all about Now we started off in Philippians 2 verses 5 to 11 and then last week we looked at Colossians 1 Verses 15 to 18 and we've seen a lot notice what we have studied God the Son left heaven and he became a man and in so doing Jesus humbled himself in so many ways Ultimately dying as a criminal for the sin a man Because of the perfect obedience of Jesus God the Father Exalted God the Son to the highest of positions and this was all for the glory of God and this Jesus Was and is the exact? Representation of God this Jesus created the entire universe that which is seen and unseen And this was all for his purposes.

This was all for his pleasure and this was all for his glory and This Jesus is the beginning of all things new. He is the head of the church and he is the exalted one He is the preeminent one. He is the supreme one. And again, this is all for the glory of God And this is the same Jesus that we must make central to our Christmas celebration I know I've said this over and over. This has been my call for the past two weeks We can't settle for that cheap manger seen Jesus.

Remember that illustration from last week We must strive to make Christmas great again because it has been so commercialized And we must work hard to make Christmas great again, and we do that by making Jesus this Jesus that we've been studying the very center of our Christmas celebration We do that even when we give gifts we do that for the glory of God We know that all good things come from the Lord we do that with our time off with even our Feasting and then we do that with our family in all of the ways that we celebrate Christmas.

I Had a conversation this week with the one of the men of the church And he was talking about how he didn't grow up in the best of family Circumstances and he was talking about how he wanted a God centered family a godly family And he was expressing how he wanted to make the church and worshiping the one true God He wanted to make that the center of his family and we should all want to do that With everything that we do during this Christmas season Now if we're going to make Jesus central to our Christmas celebration Simply we must seek him Personally, we must draw near to him.

We must desire to meet with him We must desire to meet with the Lord in his word. We must desire to meet with the Lord in prayer We must desire personal communion with him. Simply we must Seek him now think about it. Isn't that what is happening in all religions? men seeking God In all of the false religions of the world. We have men seeking God Men seeking God is even a part of biblical Christianity But the difference in biblical Christianity and all of the false religions is this in biblical Christianity It is God that seeks man first and then after man is born of God born of the Spirit of God Then can man truly seek God?

Well, I do need to back up a little bit here I said that man seeks God after God first seeks man I need to back up some and we need to understand all of this properly And this is where so many do get out of bounds We must understand that man can't see God Left alone man cannot seek God and that is because of sin Romans 3 Paul teaches that all mankind have the same problem. It's sin. It's a universal problem for all men in Romans 3 Paul explains the results of man's sin.

There's this long list there Man can't seek God man naturally automatically and purposely turns away from God and turns to sin Man is not righteous before God man does not understand God or the things of God man does not seek God man turns only to sin only to rebellion against God in every way and Then in Romans 3 verse 19 Paul says that man is Incapable of even fearing God let that sink in And all this view this view of man is thoroughly biblical because we see these truths taught in Romans 3 starting in verse 10 All the way down to verse 19, but Paul is quoting what the Psalms Isaiah. He's quoting the Old Testament.

This is thoroughly biblical So mankind has a dilemma All of mankind has this damnable dilemma all men deserve an eternal punishment Inhale for their sin for the rebellion Roman 6 says that the wages of sin is death But you know occasionally when we are studying God's Word we run across two words that are so beautiful but God but God You see forever ago, but God Forever ago God chose to intervene in man's damnable dilemma John 3 16 for God so loved the world and that is this world that is filled with sinful men 1st Peter 3 18 the righteous suffered and died for the unrighteous that is the righteous Jesus who died for unrighteous men in 1st John 2 19 Jesus is the propitiation from man's sin That means he is the atoning sacrifice for man in man's place That is the theme of what we're going to study this morning again.

We are still dealing with this incarnation We are dealing with Jesus the incarnation and this morning. We're looking at Jesus Who was and is the perfect sacrifice? For sin that's the title of the message Now at this point I want us to read our verses. This is where the entire message will come from Of course when I reference other Bible verses I encourage you to read them write them down Make them a part of your study We've got a lot of ground to cover here in verses 1 to 18 and we'll be able to do that.

I believe adequately So let's look at Hebrews chapter 10 starting in verse 1 For the law since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very Form of things it can never by the same sacrifices year by year Which they continually offer make perfect those who draw near? Otherwise would they not have ceased to be offered because the worshippers Having once been cleansed would no longer have had consciousness of sin But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year Really?

We're going to see that that means year by year year by year year by year verse 4 for it is Impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins Therefore when he comes into the world he says and these are quotations from Psalm 40 Sacrifice and offering thou hast not desired But a body thou has prepared for me in Soul-burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou has taken no pleasure Then I said behold I have come in the role of the book it is written of me to do thou will Oh God after saying above sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and Sacrifices for sin thou has not desired nor house thou taken pleasure in them which are offered according to the law Then he said behold I have come to do thou will He takes away the first in order to establish the second and by this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all and every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices which can never take away sins But he having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time Sat down at the right hand of God waiting from the time onward until his enemies be made a footstool for his feet for by one offering He is perfected for all time those who are sanctified in the Holy Spirit who bears witness to us For after saying this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days says the Lord I will put my laws upon their heart and upon their mind.

I will write them He says then and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more and then our last verse Now where there is forgiveness for these things there is no longer any offering for sin Now some of you might know this but before us we have some very difficult Passages quite a few but we have some answers for some of you who might not know how the old covenant sacrificial system relates to the new covenant and the sacrifice of Christ Now we're gonna look at three major truths out of this body of scripture and we're gonna see how Jesus is the perfect sacrifice for Sin so the first major truth that we're going to look at and our outline is this number one the effects of the old Covenant sacrifices that's in verses 1 to 4 the effects of the old covenant sacrifices Now if we do not understand some background information here that will keep us from grasping What is taught just in these four verses now to be honest with you we could spend weeks here in Examining all that is here in verses 1 to 4 but I believe what I share will help you and help us Understand what's happening here You see the Jews in Jesus Day and the Jews before were under what is called the old covenant and under the old covenant They were bound to the Levitical sacrificial system where the priests were continuously offering animal sacrifices Literally day after day month after month year after year The priests were busy from daylight to dark slaughtering animals for sacrifices all Inobedience to the written law of God One of the highlights of the Jewish calendar was Passover Passover was once a year and it was when the entire nation celebrated when God had delivered their forefathers from Egyptian captivity and aduring the Passover celebration alone scholars estimate that as many as 300,000 lambs would have been slaughtered and sacrificed just in one week.

Let that soak in Scholars and historians tell us that the animal sacrifices were so great that the blood would run out of the temple into the Kinjron Valley and there would be so much blood that flowed into the brook there at the Kinjron Valley That the brook would literally run red with blood But you know that was a problem with all of this No matter how many sacrifices they made either during the Passover at any or at any other time the animal sacrifices were ineffective at removing sin this sacrificial system did not provide the Jews access to God all the sacrifices really the entire sacrificial system was Effective, but it was not effective at removing sin and providing access to God Now we can understand what's taught here with that background in our mind by examining these verses So first I want us to see the purpose of the Old Covenant sacrifices the purpose of the Old Covenant sacrifices look at verse 1 the law since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and Not the very form of the things Now what we see here is that the sacrifices in the Old Covenant system It's called a shadow now this shadow speaks of a pale shadow It speaks of a reflection or really a mere silhouette.

It is a form but it is without reality Isn't that what a shadow is now? Why is that the case? Because it is a shadow but here in the verse there is a contrast between the shadow and the very form You see that in the verse This very form here in the verse speaks of a complete representation or a detailed reproduction one scholar said this actually means a portrait and if they would have had this language that we have today it could have been called a photograph Now what's being said here?

The writer of Hebrews is saying that the Old Covenant system and all of its sacrifices were a shadow They were a reflection of what was to come a particular reality Well, what was the reality? What was the reality that? Corresponded to the shadow the reflection we'll get to that now the second observation I want us to make is the ineffectiveness of the Old Covenant sacrifices we first seen the purpose of the Old Covenant sacrifices second the Ineffectiveness of the Old Covenant sacrifices we see this in verse one as well now There's one key phrase here this phrase make perfect It brings it means to bring to completion.

It means to bring to an intended in Here the writer is saying that although the sacrifices are made year after year after year really Continuously, they are unable to make man perfect or right with God They are unable to bring man to that intended in they are unable to bring man into a right Relationship with God in their hearts in their minds in reality But notice two questions in the verse Go back to the verse verse two Otherwise would they not have ceased to be offered because the worshippers have once been cleansed Would not would no longer have had consciousness of sin Now what do we see the writer of the book of Hebrews is saying this if the sacrifices brought man into a right? relationship with God in forgiveness of sins the sacrifices would have stopped And if the sacrifices had brought man into a right relationship with God in forgiveness Then the worshippers would have had a consciousness that their sins had been forgiven so simply the Old Covenant and its sacrifices were ineffective in bringing man to a place of forgiveness of their sin and this system was not Intended to bring forgiveness and we'll cover that more as we continue Now the third observation I want us to see the effectiveness of the Old Covenant Sacrifices I've just shared with you the ineffectiveness of the Old Covenant now notice the effectiveness of the Old Covenant We see this in verse 3 look at verse 3 but But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year The meaning here is plain instead of bringing forgiveness Instead of relieving the worshipers of their guilt before God when these sacrifices were made year after year after year It all forced them to see their sin One writer put it this way and this is really lingered in my mind all week and I'm quoting Instead of pacifying the conscience the Levitical system stabbed at it and awakened it each year If verse 3 isn't enough for us to see the effectiveness of the Old Covenant sacrifices look at verse 4 Look at verse 4 for it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sin The blood of animals did not have the power to take away sin These sacrifices were external and they didn't have the power to reach within a man and to change that man on the inside One writer noted it this way animals are not moral beings They're not moral beings.

So their sacrifices did not have the power to change moral man from the inside So we see this sad state of worship You see it this sad state of worship they were never free from the presence of their guilt They were never free from the presence of their sin because of the effectiveness of the Old Covenant sacrificial system So notice what we have in the verses verses 1 to 4 the effects of the Old Covenant sacrificial system The Old Covenant sacrifices were ineffective at bringing forgiveness of sin Oh, but this was all horribly effective in continually reminding the worshipper of their sin The Old Covenant sacrifices failed to bring forgiveness But they were successful at bringing a suffocating reminder of their sin The Old Covenant was powerless to bring forgiveness but it was powerful to keep these Jews under the knowledge of their sin and the consequences of their sin But you know, we really need to ask an honest question here Wow Wow, I know this is a lot this is heavy folks why this sad system of sacrificing animals year after year after year after year and Basically, there were three purposes with this sacrificial system first the shadow The shadow was a reflection.

It was a reflection of the substance that was to come the substance or the reality That was to come and that substance is and was Jesus And then the second purpose the sacrifices were a constant reminder of their sin the sacrifices were a reminder of their sin and the Reality that they deserve death and they deserve an eternal punishment for their sin and then third the sacrifices Were intended to be a covering for their sin when they were offered with a true heart The sacrifices removed the immediate temporal judgment from God These sacrifices did not satisfy the ultimate wrath of God for their sin.

The sacrifices pacify the wrath of God temporarily John MacArthur has a really sad and accurate way of describing this system And to be honest with you, this has haunted me all week and I'm quoting Even the covering of sin was temporary Even the covering of their sin was temporary. It lasted only until the next sin You see how sad that is. He goes on to say it was burdensome and disappointing the whole system was burdensome and Disappointing why because it temporarily covered their sin only until they sin again Now imagine Imagine folks you're wrestling with your sin.

You're praying you're walking with God all week You love the Lord you love his word and you want to walk in obedience to the Lord and Imagine you come with a pure heart as pure as you know how to be you're honestly motivated You want to be as right with God as you know how to be and you walk down this aisle and you get on this altar And you make your sacrifice before the Lord and boom because of the grace of God your sin is covered It is covered and you have that temporary relief and you stand up and you walk down the aisle and there's one man You've held a grudge on he's wronged you you've had all with him and you look at him and you hate him in his heart You're back in the same dilemma All over again, it's over and over day after day year after year This was a burdensome and disappointing system And what are we seeing we've seen in verses 1 to 4 the effects of the old covenant?

Sacrificial system it was totally ineffective of bringing true forgiveness But it was terribly effective at keeping them in their sin conscious of their sin and their rebellion against God Let's move on Number two. I want us to see the effects of the new sacrifice of Christ The effects of the new sacrifice of Christ now in verse 5 things change in Contrast to the ineffectiveness of the Old Testament sacrifices We now see the effectiveness of the sacrifice of Christ.

I've simplified it like this by saying now we've got some good news And we have this good news really coming from Christ look at verse 5 This will get by you It says he says and then look on down to verse 9 and he said see these words are coming from Christ The writer of Hebrews knows now here Jesus is doing a lot Right away. We see that he is quoting from the Old Testament.

This is the book of Psalm chapter 40 But ultimately he is explaining the relationship of the new covenant with the old covenant He is explaining the effects of the new covenant on the old covenant and much more first He explains that God was Dissatisfied with the old covenant we see this in verses 5 to 8. I won't read them all What does he say sacrifice and offering thou has not desired verse 6 in?

Holborn offerings and sacrifices for sin thou has not taken pleasure Now to say that God was dissatisfied with something that he instituted it seems rather contradictory does it not God certainly did institute the sacrificial system, but this system was never God's ultimate end This Old Testament sacrificial system was not meant to take away sin But to point to the lamb the lamb who would and could take away that sin One writer put it this way Could God be pleased with rivers of animal blood in heaps of animal carcasses?

That's what the sacrificial system produce folks Could God be pleased with rivers of animal blood and mountain heaps of animal carcasses? No Now for the sake of time I want to quickly summarize what we see in verses 5 to 8 Simply God was not satisfied with blood offerings and burnt offerings because they were shadows of what was to come the sacrifices represented God's ultimate desire and that was the Sacrifice of the one true lamb that one true lamb who could take away the sin of man His ultimate desire was to sacrifice his own son not millions and millions and millions of animal sacrifices that were a part of the sacrificial system So think about it how could God be satisfied with rivers of animal blood How could it be satisfied with heaps of animal carcasses when he knew the only sacrifice?

That would truly redeem man was the sacrifice of his one and only son So he is explaining that God is dissatisfied with the old covenant and then second He explains that God took away the old covenant look at verse 9 Then he said this is Jesus behold I have come to do thy will he takes away the first that's the first the old covenant in order to Establish the second that's the second that is the new covenant Notice right after Jesus declares that God was dissatisfied with the old He then moves to show that God takes the old covenant away to establish the second covenant the new covenant the covenant in his son Well, how is this done? by Christ and through Christ through Christ's sacrifice on the cross Jesus says that through his perfect obedience even obedience to death He takes away the old and he replaces it with the new that's what verse 9 says Simply the old is retired.

It is replaced because Jesus fulfills the old in every way He fulfilled everything in the old Of Look at verse 10 By this wheel we have been sanctified through the offering of the blood of Jesus Christ once and for all Here we see the ultimate effect of the new covenant simply it sets man apart That is what this word sanctified means in verse 10 Now this word sanctified in verse 10 is not to be confused with progressive sanctification in the scriptures.

We have two sanctifications First we have what is called positional sanctification and then second we have what is called progressive sanctification In the first God works to set apart man when he's converted. He is set apart He is sanctified but in the second it is man that Cooperates with God in life as they work and pray and work in obedience to become more like Christ Well here we have positional sanctification The writer of Hebrews is saying that through the offering of Christ's body those who have been born again have been Sanctified they have been set apart. They are holy. This is where we get our word saints from they are saints.

They are set apart They are sanctified But there's another layer here Scholars help us understand this the construction of this phrase we have been sanctified. It speaks of a great force language scholars tell us that this phrase means that with great force the believer continues in this sanctification sanctification in this being set apart with great force the Sanctification is permanent Simply through Christ's sacrifice believers are permanently sanctified This means they can't lose what God gave them So notice what's taught in verses 5 to 10 this is a lot the effects of the sacrifice of Christ Christ Jesus fulfilled he replaced he retired the old covenant through his sacrifice God was only ultimately satisfied in the sacrifice of his son Not with the blood of bulls and goats and only through Christ's sacrifice Can man be set apart sanctified?

Now an application I want to ask you the right question Have you been sanctified if you've been set apart Have you been born of the Spirit of God has God done a work in you whereby he has taken you out of your old life And put you in a new life in Christ. You've been set apart. You've been made holy in Christ Jesus. You've been sanctified That should be our hope in Christmas Christmas we celebrate what Christ has done he came To suffer and bleed and die in our place.

That's what Christmas should be all about It should always take us right back to what God did for us and ultimately our whole lives should be about this ultimate Sanctification that God has saved us and changed us and placed us in Christ and that's our only hope in life and in death You know as I was kind of finishing the up this part of my message I've thought about a few hopes that I have for Christmas We'll get to take a little time off and dear hunt a little bit I Hope the Lord will lead one of his glorious wonderful creations to come by to my satisfaction and I will aim right and I will enjoy killing a deer Maggie and I will get to do a little deer hunting together and I hope the Lord does the same thing for her But you know, whatever the Lord provides I'll take I'm just gonna enjoy the creation no matter what I'm gonna enjoy being out there I have a hope that I'll be able to enjoy some recreational time.

I Was a little honest last week I shared that some of the family plans have been changed because of COVID I Still want to enjoy some time with family. I have a hope that I can be with family this year But you know we could go down this long list of the things we hope to do and hope to enjoy during Christmas And you know, all of that is temporary. It's nothing wrong with that These are good gifts from the Lord, but ultimately my hope is in Christ Everything else is rubbish. Everything else is temporal.

Everything else is trash compared to my hope in Christ So, where are you in this sanctification Has God done a work that only God can do and brought you to that place where he sanctified you and set you apart and then Ultimately your hope your true hope your number one hope at Christmas is Christ And then the third truth that I want us to look at Christ's sacrifice Once in for all we see this starting in verse 11 going on down to verse 18 Now just like in the previous verses verses 5 to 10 here We see a contrast between the Old Testament covenant sacrifices the Old Covenant sacrifices and the New Covenant We see a contrast between animal sacrifices and even those priests in the sacrifice of Jesus Now in this contrast a writer of Hebrews explains the finality of Christ's sacrifice I'll make just a few observations here that highlight the finality of Christ and again, there's so much more we could study here First we see the achievement of Jesus.

You see this in verses 11 to 12. I really want us to read these verses and every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time Remember year after year time after time the same sacrifices which can never take away sins But he having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time Sat down at the right hand of God Here in verse 11. We have what one commentator called a kind of priestly treadmill of sacrifice Think about that.

I Changed it during the week in my own study in verse 11 We have a conveyor belt of dead animals a conveyor belt of continuous blood sacrifice Isn't that what it says and every priest stands daily? ministering and offering time after time after time what those carcasses to the Lord those blood sacrifices and these sacrifices did not take away sin These all left men in their sin and more conscience of their sin One scholar said it like this all this did was underline their sin in our modern language We can say it like this all this did was highlight their sin But in verse 12 We see the achievement of Christ He offered one sacrifice for all time and then he sat down at the right hand of God the verse says So we have the achievement of Christ.

He was the perfect sacrifice of God for the sin of man and because of God's Perfect love for man and Christ's perfect obedience Christ achieved salvation for man that which the Old Testament covenant system Never could do And second we see the Meditation of Christ we've seen this all along in our study and we see it here in verses 11 and 12 again We see a contrast the Levitical priests stood to make bloody sacrifices Day after day one scholar I read this week said it like this There was no chair in the tabernacle or in the temple.

They stood working hard day after day Making those sacrifices there was no rest in any way in their work Just bloody work, but Christ Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father The priests work as servants where Jesus sits on the throne as the king of the universe the king of kings and the Lord of Lords And then third we see the provision of Jesus we see this in verses 14 to 18.

I won't read all of the verses But notice a two words in verse 14 go back to the copy your copy of God's Word for by one offering he is perfected for all time those who are sanctified I Want us to notice the word perfection and the word sanctification Now this perfection speaks to spiritual maturity While this word sanctification speaks to that position we see Being set apart simply it's done see the provision for believers has been made They are set apart in Christ and they are on this journey of being perfected They are on the journey throughout life to be made more like Christ But notice the things that have been provided here There is a long and powerful list starting in verse 14.

I won't read all of the verses First perfection and maturity. We've already read that second sanctification or positionally being found in Christ We've already covered that Third the Holy Spirit to bear witness of this work in the heart and in the life we see that in verse 15 But there's more fourth God's law will be written on their hearts verse 16 Fifth their sin will be taken away and remembered no more in that a contrast to the Old Testament sacrificial system So when the provision we see that Christ provided what the Old Covenant sacrifices could never provide ultimately forgiveness So notice what we've seen in all of these verses The achievement of Christ's sacrifice through his once and for all sacrifice Christ provided salvation and forgiveness for men.

He provided freedom Oh Freedom and peace in the heart of man. That is the meaning of verse 18 Go back to verse 18 Now where there is forgiveness of these there is no longer any offering For sin what we see is there is freedom and there is peace in the heart of man It is done forgiveness is provided. There is no need for covering sin anymore through offering sacrifices after sacrifices day in and day out year in and year out and Can you imagine the relief?

That these born-again Jews experienced no more blood no more carcasses No more sacrificing bulls and goats why because Christ was their ultimate and final sacrifice You know, I couldn't help but think about a song that we sing quite often here When I got to this place in my study this week, it just came right into my mind I did a little research on the song and the writer of the song here Was studying and writing about these verses and a few others in Hebrews Some of you will know the title once and for all What do the word say free from the law Oh happy condition Jesus has bled and there is remission Cursed by the law and bruised by the fall grace has redeemed us once and for all Once and for all Oh sinner receive it once for all Oh friend now believe it cling to the cross The burden will fall Christ has redeemed us once and for all Now we are free.

There's no condemnation Imagine the condemnation these Jews live with day after day Jesus provides a perfect salvation Come unto me. Oh here is sweet call come and he saves us once and for all And my question for you is this Are you living in freedom or old friend? Are you living in bondage? Do you get honest with yourself and you know, you're in your sin. Are you living in freedom in Christ? Or are you like those priests your work?

It's so hard to cover up what you can't cover And this Christmas you'll either look to Christ and you'll rejoice because of your freedom that he bought Or if you get honest you'll look at your bondage and you look at your works and you'll know that it'll never suffice You'll know that it'll never work so Christ's sacrifice Once and for all and listen folks if that does not stir you Something is not right Now think back with me to the scriptures that we read in our scripture reading Remember our wise men Remember the men from the east we call them wise men Those men sought what is verse 2 Matthew to say they sought the king of the Jews They sought him to worship him and they brought the appropriate gifts to Jesus in worship All in true submission and worship and adoration They sought the king of the Jews Because God had first sought them Look how glorious his sovereign grace is they saw the star in the east who created that star who designed that star?

Who created it who put it in the sky? God put that there and God put that star there to guide them to the Christ child and they came seeking that Christ child Now folks look what God has provided you God has it given you a star in the east He's giving you a copy of God's Word to tell you about his son He's giving you a gospel-centered church and a man who will stand up here this morning to tell you all about this son who can save You you see what God has provided these men had a star We've got a copy of God's Word in a church to proclaim the gospel And I say this to you urging you don't let the star pass you by Listen friends.

I've seen so many people Sit in seats just like you and they hear the same messages and they walk out the door and they just go after sin The list gets longer and longer the older I get don't let the star pass you by And this Christmas we must truly celebrate Christmas Not only by making Jesus the centerpiece of our Christmas We must truly celebrate Christmas by seeking him by drawing near to him By desiring to meet with him how in his word and in prayer and in communion and obedience to him You see that's what we must do during Christmas. So let's make Christmas great again.

Remember we borrowed that term By making Jesus all that we've studied the past two weeks the centerpiece of our Christmas celebration And then also by personally seeking him desiring to meet with him and to worship him and commune with him and How is that possible? Remember our problem it is because Jesus was and is the perfect sacrifice for our sin I'm so thankful. I Wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for him Let's pray. Let's commit all these things to the Lord And let's let the Spirit of God work in our hearts in life accordingly
