Hebrews 10 contrasts repeated Old Testament sacrifices with Christ's once-for-all offering. Jesus provides forgiveness, peace, sanctification, and freedom that the old covenant sacrifices could never supply.

Colossians 1 presents Jesus as the image of the invisible God, creator, sustainer, head of the church, and preeminent one. The Christmas season is meant to center on this supreme Christ, not a sentimental or diminished view of him.

Philippians 2 shows the incarnation and exaltation of Christ as the pattern for humble, self-emptying service in the church. The Son of God became a man, took the form of a servant, and was exalted to the glory of the Father.
